GATE VOLUNTEER GUIDELINES
Gate Coordinator: Theresa Morgan  Contact Info: excamom@cableone.net

  • All players of Eagle High School Softball are expected to have an adult representative (ie: parent, grandparent, sibling over 18, etc.) work the gates for at least one home game.  Parents exempt from this service are those who have paid the “opt-out-fee” to the Boosters.  Those who did not signed up for a shift, have been assigned one.
  • Gate volunteers need to be at the gate tables by 4:15 (4:30 at the latest).  If they are unable to make it at this time, they are responsible to finding someone to cover for them until they arrive (ask a fellow teammate parent).
  • Tables and cash pouches will be provided by the Gate Coordinator.
  • All monies should be placed in the box/pouch.  Gate fees will be detailed out at the gate tables.
  • Each paying fan should receive a hand stamp to show they have paid.   A hand stamp can be found in the cash pouch.
  • Gate coverage should stay open until the end of the 4th inning for each team.  For example, JV table can close the table down at the end of the 4th inning for their game and the same goes for Varsity.

CLOSING THE SALES

  • At the end of the 4th inning, the volunteers should take down the table, price sign and anything else that has been supplied for the sales.
  • Supplies should be returned to the storage shed.
  • Cash pouches needs to be given to the Doug or Jackie Corta.  If you are unable to get to them, please give to the Gate Coordinator Theresa Morgan or Tony Morgan.

CONCESSION
GUIDELINES
Concession Coordinator: Lauri Morton  Contact Info:

One of the parent's contributions to the program is to work the concession stand. Every family is scheduled for a particular date(s). If you are unable to work that day, it is your responsibility to find a replacement, or trade with another family. Please, parents only.

ALL FOOD HANDLERS MUST WEAR GLOVES

Job Duties:
Grill:
30 minutes before game time, remove 8 hot dogs and buns, and 8 hamburger buns from the freezer to thaw. Hamburgers should be grilled frozen. Set up grill, attach propane tank and light grill. Set up condiment table by setting squeeze bottles of ketchup, mayo, mustard, and relish in a bucket of ice. By game time, have 4 hot dogs, 2 hamburgers, and 2 cheese burgers ready. Sprinkle burgers with seasoning salt. Wrap in foil and place in pan on top rack of grill to stay warm. Grill according to demand. Any left overs after the game can be given to the players on a first come, first serve basis.
Closing: If by the end of the 6th inning there is no business and the food is sold, shut down grill to cool, and remove tank. Place condiments in refrigerator.
Post game: Pick up garbage around home team bleachers.

Concessions:
30 minutes before game time, make coffee, then pour into pump pot. Make additional coffee as needed. There will be a full pump pot of hot water for hot chocolate. If necessary, additional water may be heated with the coffee maker. Clean condiment table and set with napkins, coffee creamers, sugar, and spoons. Familiarize yourself with the price list, products, and their location.
Closing: Wipe down counter and concession table, and restock refrigerator with drinks. Sweep floor.
Post game: Pick up garbage around visitors bleachers.

As with any volunteer organization, it is great when someone sees a need and fills the need.
